Canada's Best New Restaurants: the 2019 Contenders

For the second year in a row, I flew across Canada for Air Canada’s enRoute magazine to pick the country’s best new restaurants. It was a dream assignment: in a span of six weeks, i visited forty-one restaurants spread across seventeen cities, from the wild shores of westernmost Canada’s Vancouver Island to the easternmost tip of Atlantic New Brunswick. I visited the Yukon, the Rockies, British Columbia’s wine country, the prairies as well as the big cities: Montreal, Vancouver, and Toronto.
